Yellowzine is excited to announce its media partnership with the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, returning to London for its 12th consecutive edition at Somerset House from 10-13 October 2024.
As the leading international art fair dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora, 1-54 provides a vital platform for artists and galleries from across the globe, highlighting the richness and diversity of African art today. This year’s edition features over 60 international galleries, with more than a third of exhibitors making their debut at the London fair. The showcase will span a variety of artistic mediums including painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and installation.
As a media partner, Yellowzine will be closely engaged with the fair’s extensive programming, offering exclusive content and insights into the works of emerging and established artists. This collaboration is aligned with our mission to amplify the voices of creatives from underrepresented communities and elevate discussions around contemporary African and diasporic art. Highlights of this year’s fair include a special focus on artists from Ghana, Morocco, and Brazil, reinforcing the fair’s commitment to a global, cross-cultural dialogue.
As 1-54 continues to expand its international footprint, Yellowzine is proud to support the fair in its efforts to inspire audiences and champion artists from Africa and the diaspora. Expect in-depth interviews, artist features, and live coverage throughout the fair, as Yellowzine celebrates this exciting collaboration.
