Yellowzine launch party: The Conscious Issue

This launch/private viewing was in celebration of our third issue, 'The Conscious Issue' and along with dancing, drinking and snapping in the consious corner photo set, people came to view a collection of works by the amazing stylists and photographers included in the issue.

Our third issue explores consciousness through the art of styling. In this edition we speak to 15 stylists on how they navigate consciousness through their art work and what it means to be sensitive to and aware of the contexts in which you create. Themes covered include: environmentalism, fast/slow fashion, gender and sexuality, feminism, home and loads more - all within the theme of styling.

The private viewing included live music from self-described conscious DJs; DJ Trusoundz, Dj Azyre Blue, DJ Moonchild who gave us RnB, Reggea, South African house, Jazzhouse and just generally great vibes. We shared the amazing short film 'Jagga Jagga' by Derrick Kakembo, featuring UK/Nigerian rapper Afrikan Boy and witnessed a live Mural on the night by Raymond Fielding (Issue 01 Illustrator).

Altogether an amazing night and we want to thank everyone who attended and made this night our best launch party yet, can't wait to do it all again!
